I heard over the weekend that he passed away last week. I would think he deserves to be mentioned here.

Just learned this about an hour ago. I agree with you Pipe. His contributions are legendary, not just to antique firearms for which he is best known.

I don't know any detail, but I learned of it on the us militaria forums. How long had he been putting catalogs out? 1950's? Still had a good web catalog on his site.

Yep, it just says since the 1950s on the "About the Author" page of my Flayderman's Guide.
