Title: Longer Burnside Bullet......
Post by: acwbullets on November 20, 2011, 04:56:36 PM
How many of you have an example of a longer .54 Burnside variant in your collection. I saw some dug many years ago near Hancock Maryland but had forgotten about them until the show where I saw two examples. I know they are nothing special but they are a nice little variant. The two that I saw were dug in Culpeper, Va. The others that I have seen were dug in the vicinity of McCoys's Ferry which was used as a crossing during the mid to late war years.

I only have the two base types.  I'd like to see a picture of this 3rd type.  I heard you discussing it with Jim  at the show but didn't see one.
