All I'll say is someone really paid a premium for them because they were from the Danner collection and Gettysburg. That's an average of over $3300 for each shell and I presume that doesn't include the "buyer's premium". It must be nice to have that kind of green.

I don't get spending that much coin on that collection. Doesn't do much for me - especially 80 k plus premium !! Have them come over my house, I can put together 50 k worth of real honest to goodness verbal history 'Johnny brought home, Lee handled, Stonewall arm removing, dug with owners permission, Round Top, Sumter ' shells !! At least that is what they said on ebay........
