Any ideas?
« on: March 06, 2013, 07:03:40 PM »
Since it's been a little slow this is a good time to ask the members of this forum if any of them can identify these small pistol or revolver bullets. They measure .358 x .708.

My best guess would be an Allen & Wheelock revolver, but I'm not a Lead Head.

Skip, can you enlarge the photos a bit and repost them. My eyesight isn't what it use to be and those pics are a bit to small for me to see clearly.

Mike,

Took those pictures indoors with a flash. Reshot one of the bullets in natural sunlight this morning. Hope this is better.

Several of these bullets along with a single cavity scissors type mold were dug back in the 80's between Pebble Hill and Fallen Timbers near Shiloh.

Thanks for looking.
