Carriage is even heavier, but comes apart some.  Still the cheeks, trail and axle are heavy and cumbersome.

Thanks guys.  I was so excited about this last night I am a bit sheepish to admit I had a hard time sleeping and that was after a well intentioned wake up call from Pete!  I am very lucky to have great friends willing to help me with my stupid projects when I bite off more than I can chew.  As Ogden Nash wrote, “A marvelous bird is the Pelican.  Its beak can hold more than its belly can.”

Heard a lot of new four letter words today, but nobody got hurt and I think & hope (& know) they still consider themselves to be friends.  Carl volunteered himself and RelicRunner to come up if I ever decide to move it out, but I think we might have to turn the carriage at least into a permanent fixture that goes with the house.  Will make a good coffee table…
