Yes, Mr. Ed Bearss is the greatest relic hunter of all time. Not only did he find a Civil War ironclad gunship full of relics, he did it with research and a small hand held compass. It still had loaded cannon on it! Quite a find. His life story is interesting too:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_BearssYou'll notice in he image on Wikipedia seen below that he has a bad left arm that is from machine gun fire in WWII. He is now nearly 90 (June 26, 1923) and still, as far as I know, giving tours of battlefields and talks at round tables.
But I'll have to admit the Arabia was a pretty good find too:

and a lot harder to recover. It's even pre-ACW (1856) and was pretty loaded with relics as well although no cannon!
