Very Interesting Schenkl
« on: December 07, 2016, 09:40:51 PM »
Hello,

A friend asked me to post this on the forum to share with the forumites and  hopefully gather a little information on it.  He picked this up at the Franklin Show.  it appears to be a 3.67-inch Schenkl with slanted grooves and an interesting fuze that unscrews from the shell body.  There are three peculiarities
1. Slanted grooves to hold the sabot
2. A thin ridge at the ogive
3. Fuze with a bushing at the base.  (Fuse doesn't screw all the way in so the threads are going to be checked to ensure they match the shell.)

We'd be very interested in any feedback anyone might have on this neat shell.
Best,
Carl
