Description:CS watercap fuse with the highly desirable raised head around the watercap insert. Nice dug patina and appears to be a bit longer than most of these. A fellow I know recently dug this in a lady's front yard along the James River so it was likely fired from the CSS Virginia II or CSS Richmond. A dealer offered him $100 for it at the recent Richmond Show, and the digger wisely walked a couple tables down and sold it for a fair price to us.
