Description:Beautiful condition Parrott percussion fuse that disassembles completely and looks like it will screw right into a shell. Not sure why they are called one piece fuses when as you can see they are made up of three distinct parts: the slider inside, the anvil cap, and the fuse body. The slider even includes the safety sleeve. At any rate, this represented an improvement over the 2 piece design which failed frequently often due to the striker getting at an angle in the channel.

A great example to add to that mint shell missing a fuse or your fuse collection. Great teaching aid too illustrating the moving parts that make the fuse work.
