Description:A real one of these that disassembled would likely be well over $800. This is an accurate professionally done reproduction out of solid brass to fit one of those many large CS shells that are missing the fuse. You know the threads on this one are good so if your shell threads are good it will screw right in. Or it can serve as an instructional piece or temporary fill in until you find a real one for your fuse collection.
Just like the period fuse, this one has two iron pins to prevent the slider from falling from the bottom of the fuse. It is not believed this worked very well as many failed to explode probably due to the slider falling into the shell body on setback.
A great addition to make that shell in your collection that is missing the fuse look complete for not nearly the money as an original one. Plus you would look a long time to find an original one that would have good enough threads to screw into the shell..
