Description:This is the style Schenkl fuse found in the very large Schenkls and the Schenkl shells for the 3.4-inch Dahlgren boat howitzer. They differ from the standard Schenkl fuse by the 12 vs.. 10 threads per inch. Also the lettering of the date on the face is a much smaller font size.
This fuse is in nice shape. The body has some light pitting that makes it hard to see any of the patent date. But the center cap does unscrew so you can see inside the fuse body. The slider is missing. The threads on this are perfect and I am sure it would screw into a shell. It would be $150 but with the slider missing and the light pitting it is value priced.
It would be a great pickup to add to the shell missing a fuse or as an example to show the difference to a standard Schenkl in your fuse collection.
