Description:The box plate was attached to the leather cover flap on the cartridge box worn by the soldier. The weight of the brass and lead accoutrement kept the flap closed. The face of this example is very smooth with a super color. It would be near perfect if not for the slight push on the lower right edge. The back has full clean lead and both hooks in good shape. The hooks are bent over.
