Description:Nice oil painting of the Battle of mobile Bay where Farragut uttered his famous, "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!" order. In this iconic scene, the USS Tecumseh has hit a mine and is rapidly sinking. Farragut's flagship and the rest of the US fleet is right behind coming past Fort Morgan while three Confederate Navy ships led the the CSS Tennessee, come up to meet them.
