Description:This one is so nice it has been hanging on my wall in my personal collection for nearly 10 years. I love the early war dated sabers because they would've seen considerable use. This one has the maker stamp in a circle with D.J. Millard, Clayville NY and on the other side the US/CEW/1862 stamps just like the one on page 283 in the book. The grip has the seam down the side just like shown on page 284 of Thillman's book. The scabbard has the "W" stamp that is proper for these and an additional C.E. inspector stamp matching the saber. Perfect!

A really awesome piece that will go back on my wall until it is sold.
