Description:This outstanding piece was recovered by a recreational diver near the site of Fort Erie. It was sold a couple years back at the Skinner's Auction House for a lot of money. It is a fantastic 11" long axe head marked "Hawke" and with the British broad arrow. Part of the original wood handle remains. The wood is solid but has shrunk a bit with age.
