Description:A very nice little revolver from the American Civil War period. It was made alongside the Blackberry River in Norfolk, Connecticut, the next town over from where I grew up. They are very difficult to find. The uncommon Norfolk contract rifled muskets are hard enough to come by, but these are really tough.
Serial no. 439, .28 caliber, 3-inch ribbed octagonal barrel with fixed front blade sight. Blued finish. Brass frame. Hook ejector to right side of frame. Smooth walnut grip panels.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 20-30% of a thinning finish, with scattered wear and pitting. Thinning to brass. Scuffs and dings present to grips, large scrape to right grip. Action crisp.
