Description:I recently got this in a group of relics that had a fuse in it that I wanted for myself. Knowing very little about these lockplates, I asked a knowledgeable buddy about this and he said, "The lockplate is flat, without a teat at the left point, and has an iron pan, not brass. This is circa 1812 - 1817, pre Model 1816. The internals are there. Ballpark price is $100. Possibly an 1808 contract, circa War of 1812."
