Description:Neat piece that I happen to already have one of so can spare this one. These rivets were added to the bottom center of the later war made 100pdr Parrotts as shown in last picture to reduce wobbling in flight, kind of like a modern day tire balancing weight. Some shells had incendiary liquid added through the base hole, but the current thinking is those have a hex headed bolt in the same spot, not the rivet.
