Description:This is an impressive section of a large caliber Brooke shells fired in the vicinity of Spanish Fort from either Fort Huger or the CSS Nashville. Clearly had the big brass naval bushing for a fuse adapter and still shows the sub of the sabot attachment bolt in the base along with the distinctive Brooke sabot "vanes."

I really like this and its the only half of a big Brooke I have. It has not been run through electrolysis but was out of the ground for decades so the iron is stable even though it has not been run through reverse electrolysis.
