Description:This is a very nice condition Bormann half shell. It has everything you want in one: good exterior iron, sulfur matrix, brass underplug and the recessed fuse hole indicating a CS made shell. The matrix has a fairly bright yellow color showing the lead case balls. The sulfur is a bit brighter than appears in the image. The fuse is in decent condition. You can clearly see at the bottom of the Bormann fuse threads the recessed area which was to hold a washer to prevent the flames from bypassing the fuse and prematurely setting off the shell. The only thing that keeps it from being a home run is not having bullets for case shot.
The shell was drilled before cutting and you can see a small drill hole in the bottom of the powder cavity but it doesn't distract from the shell.
