Description:What the outside of this shell lacked in appearance, the inside makes up for it. The outside exhibits the kind of appearance that indicates it likely came from a wet area and thus is a good candidate to become an educational piece. The nicely formed powder cavity is topped by an iron Bormann underplug which shows the threads very clearly. On top of that is a side section of the native Bormann fuse clearly showing the powder channel on each side with the bottom filled by the pressed in horse shoe shaped piece. It also still fits the threads nicely. Unlike many of these cut shells the powder hasn't corroded the underplug or pushed up the fuse which still sits flat. It is a nice display piece at a very good value.
Shell has been cleaned and coated and is ready to display.
