Description:This is a hard to get frag from a rare shell that was only used at James River, Fort Fisher, Charleston and Fort McAllister. This is a piece from one of the enormous 15-inch Dahlgren cannon balls fired from the monitors.

This piece is about 7-inches by 5-inches at its widest points and 2 7/8-inches thick. Iron had average rust action with no deep pits and is very solid.

This piece has been cleaned and coated.
