Description:
For the longest time they were called a "solid base Endfield" by diggers as they didn't know what they were. But research has shown them to be Greene Rifle bullets. They came in a paper cartridge with the bullet facing backwards (nose against the powder). They look much like an Enfield but differ with a slightly more rounded nose and there is no cavity, only flat solid base. These are very hard to come by. I got this from Jim Thomas who with his brother Dean wrote the leading bullet books.

The bullet is in very good shape with some patina nicked of here and there but still a very good display example of a very hard to get bullet.
