The thick groove in this bullet is distinctive from most Starr bullets which don't show that trait. Some folks seized on this and claimed it was a super high dollar British Sharps bullet, but it is really a less common variant of the Sharps. Our friend Danny Spencer smoked this out and deserves the credit from his classic forum post titled, "British Sharps or BS"
