Description:
This is an outstanding example of what Skip Mayorga calls the "Shiloh Picket" bullet. It is much larger than the normal Picket or Kentucky rifle bullets and many have been recovered near Shiloh. This has a creamy patina which is nice and the distinctive base pinhole. Unfortunately, a fellow has made up some repros of these but they lack these attributes. Also, I got this years ago from the old Stone Mountain Relics people (Charles Nash and his daughter) and this was before the new ones started coming out. This is a very special Civil War bullet and holding it in your hand will prove this is no coursely cast "Witham Special," but a collection worthy specimen any collector would be proud to own.
