Description:This is a very nice cannon ball found in the Suffolk Virginia area long ago. I haven't seen many artillery shells from that area. This ball has great iron with good fuse threads. The copper CS fuse adapter easily unscrews. It is the late war type with the rebated bottom to save a little copper. I do not believe this fuse is native to the ball but I don't know. The inside cavity is very clean.

Shell is inert, cleaned and coated.
