Description:This is an excellent example of the 12 pounder solid shot used by both sizes to batter buildings, trenches and cannons in the field. My first artillery round was a 12 pounder solid shot and started me on this obsession for artillery. The iron on this ball is super. it is a well made ball with no for sure visible mold seam. I just cleaned it and there is a small depression that I thought was an impact mark but after cleaning it looks to me to be a vent hole mark. But otherwise the ball is very smooth with only the slightest amount of ground action to prove it was dug. Very hard to upgrade.
It will be going to the Chattanooga Show this weekend (7/24/2020) and likely won't last long there.
Ball is cleaned, coated and solid so no disarming needed.
