Description:Although made in England, most folks associate these shells with CS use. This one was, however, fired from Battery F, 1st Missouri Light Artillery, USA. Official Records state they fired 1,102 rounds, mostly at Confederate Fort McDermott, with a few sailing over the hill towards Battery Old Spanish Fort. These are the same guns that fired the 3.5in Hotchkiss shells.
This one has been run through electrolysis, the fuse threads chased, and the iron is coated for preservation. It is the last of the ones from Spanish Fort I have for sale.
