Description:This is a decent representative example of the far less common Dyer shell with the more pointed nose. This shell is missing the sabot but still has the Dyer time fuse adapter present. As this one weighs 7lb 5oz without the sabot it is likely a common shell. The iron has some ground action mostly on one side but it has been run though electrolysis and is hard and solid. The fuse appears to have hit a rock but is in much better shape than most. The good display side shows the recessed area where the cast sabot one was very clearly. As you can see in the first picture it displays well. This is a very well priced example.

Shell is disarmed, cleaned and coated.
