Description:Parrotts of this type are relatively uncommon because their sabot type was prone to flying off and striking friendly forces. Most recovered do not have their sabots, but this one appears to be unfired and still has its rabbeted brass band sabot.

If you want to improve this shell further, I have a Parrott fuse listed separately that would screw into this shell if the threads were cleaned just a bit.
