Description:Awesome provenance on this big Dyer. I acquired it from Don Lutz a few weeks ago. Don told me he visited Tom Dickey at his house in Atlanta and Tom would not let him leave without getting one of these Dyers. Tom found quite a few at Island #10. He didn't even disarm this one, but I had it done and cleaned and coated. When it was flushed, all the wood in the last picture came out. We are not sure if they were a shipping plug or this impacted something wood and ingested it. The sabot is pulled in one place but complete with nice rifling. This is a very nice shell.
