Location Recovered: Camden, SC

Description:Nice mismatched bourelet Read shell with the U groove at the top of the sabot. Very fine condition with a high sabot and lathe dog mark to die for. These are from Camden, SC at the end of the war. Several were left in a yard when the Confederate Army surrendered and in the 70s a homeowner lined his driveway with them. It and others were pulled from the driveway in the cleanup after the house was destroyed by Hurricane Hugo.
