Description:Everybody loves field caliber Brooke shells and so you hardly see them available. This one is also rare -- rarity (+ or 10 depending on which page of D&G you look at, 130 or 131. Unfortunately most Brookes threw their sabots and this one is not an exception. The bottom bolt is original and we were able to get it to screw and unscrew which means a sabot could be attached. They are not easy to find, however, and this one only has a quarter sabot section which makes it display nicely. I have seen or owned 4 or 5 of these and none had a copper time fuse in them. I cannot think they all blew out, but rather a more expedient wood time fuse adapter was used.

This is one of the best shells we have had to offer and is effectively being sold for half price owing to the missing sabot.
