Description:A recent pickup at the Franklin Show I am just now getting around to unpacking and listing some new items. This is a nice 3-inch Hotchkiss shell that seems to have been pulled apart by the ground on impact. This projectile I got from the digger and he found the three pieces separated. The sabot shows very well the rifling on the outside and the shape of the shell it fit around on the inside. This is a really neat display item. I haven't cleaned it up and a little TLC would make it look even better.
