Description:This one has been in my collection for several years, but I recently got another one for nearly twice what this one is going for. The difference is that this one has been fired and the lead on one side has peeled back from the iron shell body. The fuse impacted as well and broke away some, but the neat thing about all this is the battle damage shows the underlying shell and fuse construction naturally. All of these were fired from Holcomb's 2nd Vermont battery.
Apologies for the lighting in the pictures, but it is snowing here so I took them on my kitchen counter.
