Description:Take a look at this drop dead gorgeous Schenkl for the rifled 6 pounder gun. This shell was found at Shiloh and is likely an early find due to the great condition. The body style is the type believed to be the early style Schenkl that has the grooves on the tail rather than the ridges. The ones with grooves seemed to be found in the earlier battles while the ridged ones from later battles. The fuse is the hard to find early style unmarked percussion and is in excellent shape as well.
This shell is cleaned, coated and disarmed and ready to enhance your collection.
