Description:Jack Bell has this as a rarity 7 shell with most of them coming from Fort Fisher where these were used in place of solid shot so as not to explode over the landing forces. The large size Bormann underplug is in place of the fuse. I got this out of a barn in Pennsylvania so don't know any more about its provenance.
