Description:This is a very nice example of the frequently used Parrott shell for the 10-lber Parrott Rifle. It has the thick iron sabot that is crisply pre-stamped at the factory to fit the grooves of the Parrott rifle. On the base you can clearly see the chiseled off casting sprue. The iron on this shell is in very good condition with no pitting. The fuse adapter is decently white although it does exhibit the typical flaking that most have. The shell was disarmed through the fuse. The shell weighs 10lbs 7oz so it most certainly a case shot shell. A really nice example to display.
