Description:This canister is reconstructed from real relics and is a wonderful display piece. It was professionally built by the leading authority on Civil War canister who has constructed many of them.
This size was intended for the 12 pounder smoothbore cannon. This is an important round for he workhorse of the Civil War artillery. Every collection should have one of these projectiles.
This was a valuable round to have for the troops when the enemy was getting close. Without a doubt it far scarier when a soldier got close enough to the line that he had to worry about the blast of canister at short range rather than one shell.
