Description:The 8-inch solid shot is not listed in Jack Bell's book but they were used at Vicksburg, Charleston and a few other areas. They are much less common than the 8-inch mortars and 8-inch Columbiad shells.

This particular round is in very good condition and looks much better than the images show. It would be had to upgrade with a dug one. The iron is very smooth and while not overly distinct the mold seam can be seen on it. This is a very good example of a not too common shot to get.
