Description:I got this straight from Larry McCoy who recovered it a long time ago in Vicksburg. The shells from Vicksburg are of top quality (& used to be quantity!). This is a pretty Hotchkiss.

It weighs 13lbs 10oz which puts it closer to the case shot weight than the common shell.

Larry coated this shell in polyurethane which has yellowed due to age. If the new buyer so desires, it can be easily removed without damaging the sabot patina with Lacquer Thinner.
