Description:A nice Parrott shell also more correctly known as a Read-Parrott. Made for the 10-lber rifle this type shell was a frequently used shell and retained the sabots quite well

This example has good iron with only light iron ground action. There is no medium or big pitting. The sides clearly show the marks from being forced through the sizing die when manufactured. The sabot is in good condition and is the type pre-stamped with the rifling and is clearly evident. The zinc fuse adapter is nice and white and slight down in the fuse hole. All in all a very nice Parrott at a great price.

Shell has been cleaned, coated and disarmed. It displays nicely.
