Description:The 8 inch caliber was a very popularly used cannon during the American Civil War. There are plenty of wood fuse shells around mostly with tong (lifting) holes and some without. But the solid shot aren't nearly as easy to come across.

This particular round is nearly mint. It is likely non-battlefield. As you can see from the images it is a very nice condition projectile that you would never need to upgrade.

The projectile is cleaned and coated.
