Description: Very nice condition Hotchkiss percussion fuse adapter. This one still has the slider secured by the lead seal in the base hole (shown). You can see the wire "tail" sticking out the bottom in the side picture. This was found at Coosawhatchie, SC site of a very late war engagement as Sherman's forces moved North after capturing Savannah and before taking Columbia, SC.
